Recycled papers

Developing value from recycling and increasing the use of recycled fibres.

The Arjowiggins Graphic range of recycled papers contain between 50% and 100% of recycled fibres. Le Bourray, one of the French manufacturing plants, specialising in 100% recycled paper with the Eural brand (producing 110,000 tonnes per year), was already responding to the increasing demand for recycled paper. Through the 2007 acquisition of Dalum, a Danish manufacturer and its flagship brand Cyclus (100% recycled), Arjowiggins Graphic now supplies 40% of the European market and has set itself up as the standard in this area.

The inclusion of Cyclus means that Arjowiggins Graphic can now produce an additional 130,000 tonnes of recycled paper per year and has consequently become the European leader in high-end coated recycled papers.

More recently, in 2008, Arjowiggins Graphic acquired the French manufacturing plant of Greenfield - the European leader in FSC-certified high-quality recycled pulp. Through this acquisition, Arjowiggins Graphic increased its annual production of recycled pulp by 140,000T tonnes and confirmed its global strategy of integrating the entire initiative.
